Internet retail marketing 3

I approached a batik cloth manufacturer to get products. They have everything in their premises, all sorts of cloth and clothes, from scarves to bandanas, from ready made dresses to cloth sold by the yards. However I was disappointed; they could not assure a constant supply for me, even though I found out that their prices were right. Their excuses being that most of the materials are hand drawn and that no two hand drawn materials will be the same and that they could not guarantee production of what I wanted on demand as their production line are already programmed to manufacture certain items and certain designs over certain periods. Unless of course I could assure them that my order will be so big that they will set the production line only to manufacture what I required. I could not do that as it would be too expensive for me and I knew that the internet demand is uncertain. I would have to bear a lot of loses. So I abandoned the idea of getting supply from a cloth/clothes manufacturer.
